Notre Dame: Has Garth Brooks Done the Greatest Stadium show in History

There have been many great Stadium shows in
the History of music, The Beatles at Shea,  Bruce
Springsteen at MetLife, and up until tonight the
greatest Stadium show is universally regarded
as Queen's performance at Wembley Stadium
way back in 1986.

But after Garth Brook's concert tonight at the
University of Notre Dame, we may have a new
winner.

The show itself was delayed because of wind gusts
heavy rain, sleet and snow., but that didn't stop a sell
out crowd of 85 thousand, who spent hours on a freezing
night from staying on and waiting for Garth Brooks to
take the stage.

And take the stage he did.

I wasn't at the concert and am relying on the incredible
footage that appeared on twitter and youtube.

Garth is truly the entertainer of a generation, like Freddie
Mercury in 1986 in London, Garth had the crowd at the
tip of his fingertips.

To see Garth perform his songs live is like watching him
perform his songs for the first time. There is a rawness
about it that sends the crowd into a frenzy.

But it's when he does the covers, that shows the true class
of the man.

Tonight for the first time in his career he sang not one, but
two songs by The Beatles,  Hey Jude and Let it be, and he
knocked both out of the park.

On December 2nd  CBS will air the concert, and I think this will
have the general public asking "Was this the greatest stadium
show of all time?"

I also think the answer will be Yes.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks Fans In for a Hell of a Ride

A poster over at the Planet Garth forums, got it
right, Rhd13 said, Garth fans have so much to
look forward in the coming years, and yes we
have.

This is what Garth Brooks is up to for the next
few years.

Notre Dame concert, which will be a TV special
on CBS.

A Stadium tour which will last three years.

The Live Anthology coming out in a month.

A new Live album coming out.

A new Studio album coming out.

The top secret Diamond Series coming out.

Garth's 30th annivesary as an artist in April
2019, you know he's got something planned
for that.

Getting the old gang back together, we're talking
about Ty England old.

A one man show at the Ryman.

His Studio G show every monday.

New digital partners maybe???

And whatever else Garth has planned.

So there is so so much to look forward
to if your a Garth fan living in the
USA or New Zealand or Australia
or Europe or the rest of the world,
so get ready for one hell of a ride!!

Garth Brooks Makes Historical Announcement

Today is the day, that Garth Brooks made the most
biggest announcement of his career, and it was
something the media didn't pick up on, or he didn't
come out and say personally.

But first, it was a day of big announcements,  Garth
announced....

His Notre Dame concert will be filmed by CBS and
air in December.

It was Amazon's idea to include Triple Live in the
Live Anthology.

The Stand alone Triple Live album will be delayed.

Garth announced a three year tour 2019-2021 of
Stadiums in the USA.

There will be 10-12 shows per year.  St Louis will
start it off, The New England Patriots stadium will
be included in the tour.

Other dates will be announced December.

He may do the odd weekend at the Ryman.

So a news worthy day for Garth fans.

But the media missed, not only the biggest
announcement of the day, but a Historical
announcement, an announcement up there
with the biggest of Garth's career, and
Garth himself didn't even mention it.

With announcing a 2019-2021 tour of
the USA, Garth Brooks has in fact just
announced...

GARTH BROOKS WILL NEVER TOUR
OUTSIDE  NORTH AMERICA  AGAIN.

This is massive news, the biggest act in
the history of country music and one of
the biggest acts in all genres, will not
be touring outside North America ever
again.

Despite promises and promotions, despite
countless interviews, saying he would love
to play Europe, Australia and New Zealand
again, also he would also love to go to places he
hasn't been before, Garth will never do
another world tour.

Garth's only world tour was in 1994.

Many fans expected him to finally bite
the bullet and tour the world again.

He has decided not to, after years of hinting
he would.

For me this was the biggest news of the day
for sure, his upcoming tour of the USA will
be brilliant, it without a doubt will be the most
fun tour he has ever done, I'm sure of it.

Those that get tickets will have a blast, and
he's doing it for three years!!!

It's kinda sad though that the biggest act in
his genre and one of the biggest acts in History,
wont ever again, get a passport and hop on a
plane and do a world tour.

Thankfully we have social media and we can
see him do his shows and do his thing.

We are also left with the memories of that
one World Tour that he has done in 1994.

Here's wishing Garth all the success on his
new tour of the USA, I'm sure he will have
a blast.

The Hunt For The Garth Tapes

On October 1st 2018,  Billboard announced the
released date  of Garth Brooks's Live Anthology.

On October 15th 2018,  Amazon announced the
details of Garth's Live Anthology.

The five audio discs will be DOUBLE LIVE AND
TRIPLE LIVE.

So in Garth's Live anthology, he hasn't included any
raw stuff or neat stuff or slick stuff or the stuff that
people like,  he has once again  using a release to
repackaged previously released material.

IMHO, Garth has missed the boat big time, because
he has failed to include what's in his Master Vault,
and that is what the fans are looking for.

Since Garth hasn't released what's in his Vault, I'm
on a mission.

I am on the Hunt for the Holy Grail of Garth Brooks
footage.

That is footage from his 1993/1994 world tour. I'm not
talking about his network TV specials or The tonight
show appearances.

In 1993/1994 the documentary film crew, The Dream
Chasers filmed everyone of his European concerts,
every one of his Australian concerts and his New
Zealand concert, they had over 200 hours of
footage, which they cut down to 45 minutes for the
Trying to rope the world TV special.

The un-aired  footage still exists, it's believed that Garth
Brooks owns the right to this.

Also a group called "Crazy Duck Productions"  filmed
some of Garth Brooks's USA shows, Garth is also
believed to now have the rights to that footage.

It's been strongly rumored that Garth's people also
filmed various concerts  during his heyday of the
early 90's.

I'm desperately seeking this footage, it's been 24
years, and yet concerts outside of his TV specials
have never been seen, I say it's about time they're.

So if you know of any place you can view these
historical concerts, please let me know.

Of course any concert done in the 21st century will
be on social media sites, all you have to do is go
to youtube and you will find various clips of them.

The Dream Chaser videos and Crazy Duck videos
must be somewhere, it's time to share them with
the world, I'm not talking about doing anything
that is illegal, I'm talking about sharing clips
on video sharing sites from these concerts, as
I said it's been 24 years, and these concerts  show
the passion and the total wildness of  what Garth's
concerts were truly like in the early-mid 90's.

As Garth comes into the last part of his career,
these clips for sure are part of musical History
and need to be seen by a new generation of
music lovers, to give a TRUE account of what
Garth did in the 90's.

They just have to be seen . So please take part
in searching for them. Email country music
websites and Journalists, do research, dig deep,
so hopefully one day the whole world can have
a deep library of Garth Brooks footage, the world's greatest
entertainer.

Better Call Saul

Saul Goodman is born.

The finale of season 4 of Better
Call Saul, saw the birth of Saul
Goodman and  thus became one
of the biggest heartbreaking
moments in TV history.

Feel so so gutted for Kim, the man she
loved, the man she thought was finally
coming to terms with his emotions was
in fact just a con artist.

Tonights's episode was the birth of Saul
and the death of Jimmy and Kim. We
know where Saul ends up, as a  manager
of a Cinnabon, but what happens after that
will be revealed in Season Five, which is
expected to be the last season, I cannot see
two more seasons, and I cant see that there
is going to be  a fairytale ending for Gene
and Kim.

I would like there to be, I would like the
very final episode to be  Kim walking into
the Cinnamon store, taking Jimmy by
the hand and walking off into the sunset, but
somehow that seems unrealistic.

Vince Gillian loves Redemption, so there may
be yet a happy ending for Jimmy, but with the
choices Saul has made, it may take a darker tone.

All in all, Better Call Saul is the greatest show
on TV at the moment, how it ends will define
it's legacy.

Time will tell.

Modern Family Review: Season 10 Episode 2: Kiss and Tell

A Massive improvement  on the first episode of
the new season.

No comparison at all, this was like the hey day
of Modern Family.

Let me just say, Dylan makes everything better,
his line to Hayley was heartfelt and sweet, he
may not be the brightest of them all, but he is
sincere.

Then there is  Cam's line to Mitch about Pepper, even
the mere mention of Pepper makes any episode better.

Glad to see Alex and Manny doing well and not given
some sad sad story line.

Top that off, with Phil being a mean girl to Jay, only
to learn that Jay actually respects him, was a super
cool moment.

I only hope more episodes in this finale season will
be like this one.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks The Anthology Part III Live

Has Garth missed the Boat?

Straight off the back, the cover looks
amazing, has really blown me away,
I'm also sure the book itself will delight
every Garth Brooks fan that reads it, the
photographs in the book, which I'm sure
some of which will have never been seen
before will be of the highest quality, the
stories will be wonderful to read, this will
be a must for every Garth fan, but I also
think Garth may of missed the boat with
his Live Anthology.

I'm talking about the CD part of the project.

First off, it's actually criminal that Garth won't
include any DVD on this project, not only did
he have a wealth of material to work with, his
network and cable TV specials, but he had
literally 100's of hours of never before seen
footage taped by the Dream Chasers and Crazy
Duck Productions  and himself in the early
90's.

This is what an Anthology is suppose to be
about, take a look at Kissology or Tom Petty's
Anthology, take a look at the Beatles Anthology,
they put in countless hours of never before seen
audio and Video.

Garth Brooks The Anthology Part III Live, will
contain 5 discs, 52 songs, three of the discs will
be Triple Live, so that just leaves two discs.

The rest is expected to be  either taken from his live
TV specials and appearances thru the 90's, or just
Double Live.

For a Greatest Hits/Boxset/Collection/Complication
this would be okay, but not for a Live Anthology,
which is suppose to be a complete documentation
of an artist's career, Garth doesn't get another change
to document  the Live part of the early 90's this is it.

Don't get me wrong, the book will be perfect,  the AR
thing avaaible thru an App will be quirky and fun to
have.

It's what could've been with the multimedia side though,
the raw stuff, the neat stuff, the stuff I like, the stuff
that had never been released before or seen, Garth
could've done one of the greatest Anthology's on
record, but he has appeared to have played it safe.

Maybe it's unfair to judge, when I don't  know what 52 song's
will be on it,  but take away Triple Live, (which is freakin
Awesome by the way) I'm thinking the songs will be
taken from  his TV specials and appearances and not
what  he has kept locked in his master vault for
25 years, and that is what was  needed to be released
for this Anthology.

Still fingers are crossed that there may be one
or two surprises,  and if some of the 52 songs
are taken from previously unreleased performances,
then I will be truly Blown Away by this.

Time will tell.

Modern Family: Season 10 Episode 1: Review

Never in the History of television has a show
fallen from grace as much as Modern Family.

The opening episode of Season 10 was as bad
as television can get.

There was no growth for any of them, the
acting was so over the top, that it was at
the cringe worthy stage.

Who the hell did the make up for Hayley, she
is a 26 year old woman, and it was like it was
the first time she has ever put on lipstick.

We had Julie Bowen, way over acting as
Claire being a couch potatoe, we had Disney
making sure that Ariel would be covered up
because Disney girls apparently  don't have breasts,
I wonder why Ariel Winter doesn't have a word
to them about body shaming,  I guess her pay
cheques comfort her.

Then we had the storyline of Manny for some
reason, has a fear of driving over bridges.

The less said about  dressing up Jay in an
outrageous outfit the better,  the hotdog
eating competition didn't work, the only
saving grace was the only part about
Modern Family that still works,  and
that is Cam and Mitch.

Also is it just me,  or is the kid actor
who plays Joe going to end up like
the kid actor from the 1999 Star Wars
and the kid actor that played Ben
Stiller's son in Night of the Museum.

In the words of comic book guy...

Worst episode ever.

0/10.

Worst PhotoShop in the History of the Internet

Disney is a multi Billion trillion dollar
company, yet they can't even do the
most simple photoshop for their
promotional poster for Season 10 of
Modern Family.

Words fail me,  this looks like they used
Microsoft Windows 95,  Free Demo version
of Paint.

It's worse than the old Photoshop from North
Korea or those bigoted  losers from the Westbro
Church.

Why does Phil have Donald Trump sized hands?
Why does Joe  hae no fingers?
Why are their faces taken from previous shoots?
Why is Gloria that big and Ariel that small?
Why do the Ice Creams look that Fake?
Why is it so disproportionate?
Why does Lily's face look so bad?
Why does Lily's arm, not look like an arm?

A second grade student could've done a better job.

Its staggering that this could be that horrible.

Who signed off of this?

Has any Cast member said anything?

Just plain weird!

The Hunt for the Trump Tapes is a Disaster

This is what television has become.
When a disingenuous hack can get
his own so called documentary there
is no hope for our culture.

I have no doubt the Trump Tape exists,
and I have no doubt that Tom Arnold
couldn't care less about them and doesn't
have any of them, or have even heard one of
them.

But that hasn't stopped the most self serving
Z grade wannabe celeb in getting his own
documentary, I always use to think that
Andy Kindler was the biggest moron in
Hollywood, but we have a new winner!!!

So what is the Trump tapes all about, well
it appears to be about interviewing people
who have known Trump who have said,
Trump has said some disgusting things,
(I have no doubt that he did)  but once
again he provides zero evidence, that is
because Tom Arnold has no evidence.

So he makes a big song and dance about
providing interviews that we have all seen
and heard before,  the interviews being, Howard
Stern  archive of Trump interviews.

That's it!!!

If you have ever been on Dailymotion/Vimeo
youtube or several other video file sharing sites,
you have seen what Arnold is airing.

The worst part of it, it's that it's so so self serving,
Tom Arnold is doing to boost what little profile he
has.

Viceland has done some great doco's in  the past,
but I hope someone got fired for this, because this
Doco is just all about someone hiring Tom Arnold
and Tom Arnold attempts to become relevant.

Making sure Trump doesn't getting a second term,
should be in the forefront of people's mind's, and
not cheap tact from someone who is selfish and
has  ZERO integrity.

Please don't watch.

Official: Garth Brooks to announce Tour dates December 2018

Garth Brooks has officially announced the date he
will announce his  future  tour, December 2018
just before Xmas, Garth Brooks will announce the
first two bunches of tour dates for his new tour.

The tour is going to be nothing like he has done
before, and the stage will be completely  different
from the one he used in his USA/Canada tour of
2014/2017.

The stage/show  will also be different from the one  he
is going to use in his concert at the university of ND.

Trisha yearwood will be with him, but not in the
capicity that you might expect, but she will be
doing something really cool.

He kinda hinted and mention the month March,  but then
went on to something else, so March may be the start
of the new tour.

There was no word, on whether there will be any
concerts outside the USA/Canada on this tour, but
he did mention off hand something about "Three years"

So finally something concerte from Garth, after a year
of hinting, come the week before Xmas, we will have a
bunch of tour dates.

Fingers and toes crossed that he comes to a city near you.

Scott Dixon Wins IndyCar 2018

Give them a taste of Kiwi!!!!

I see our first Halberg Nomination for the year.  A
great Kiwi, a great sportsman, a great ambassador
for New Zealand,  one of most consistent sports
people we have, and maybe under rated by some
in our media here.

Don't follow motorsport, but what he has done cannot
be underestimated, he is racing in a  hugely  competive
competition, where one mistake could mean  your whole
season.

So he needs to be celebrated in New Zealand and overseasm
he deserves this!!!

A great day for Kiwi motorsport.

A great day for Kiwi sport in general.

Well done.

Tom Arnold Called me a douche bag on Twitter

Tom Arnold called me a Douche Bag
on Twitter, then a massive 200 of his supporters,
liked his tweet.

What did I do to deserve being called a Douche Bag,
I had done a tweet, and said "People like Tom Arnold,
Claude Taylor and Louise Mensch don't help the cause.

I firmly believe that.  Tom's TV show which he has called
"Hunt for the trump tapes"  is self serving,  he has no tapes,
he has no connections, but he is getting people's hopes up,
that he will take Trump down.

It's like Claude Taylor asking for donations so he can build
more billboards, or Louise Mensch, who daily tweets
out that arrests are coming,  Trump kids maybe?

This type of behavior  doesn't help the cause.  Yet people
will follow them on twitter, people will watch Tom's show
in the false hope they're taking down Trump.

Instead we should all be supporting young people like
Emma Gonzalez and trying to get out the young vote,
the people on the street who are door knocking, the
actual Journalists who are trying everyday to uncover
the corruption  of the current administration.

I have no doubt the tapes exist, but Tom hasn't got them,
Louise hasn't got sources in the WH, and a few billboards
won't do the job.

Talk to people, get them to vote, lick stamps, send out flyers,
go to town hall meetings, and please, VOTE.

VOTE VOTE VOTE!

Who Should Modern Family Kill off?

So Modern Family is going to kill off a significant
charterer in it's finale season, who will it be? Will
it be one of these cases where it's someone who has
only been in a handful of episodes, like  Dede?
or Cam's sister or maybe, God forbid Pepper.

Or will they have the courage to go there and
kill off one of it's main actors, someone we are
not expecting all??

I personally think it's not going to be a main family
member or someone major, it's not going to be Jay, that
would be too easy, maybe someone who isnt seen much
but has a connection to all.

I really think, we should be asking the question, who
SHOULD  they kill off, and not who WILL they kill
off. So here are my top picks on who they SHOULD
kill off.

1:Joe. Yep it would create TV History a sitcom on
a network show, killing off a little kid, it will be the
most talked about moment since Henry Blake's
helicopter spun over the sea of Japan. It will also
be good for one reason, Disney own's ABC and have
been pushing the writers to make sure this kid has
lots of storylines, thus ruining the final season, all
for the sake of Disney having one of their child
stars in the spotlight.  Kill him off in episode one
do a three epsiode arch and then have everyone
get on with their lives.

2: Alex.  Alex has always been the Meg of the show,
the one that people dump on, she never wins, so it
makes perfect since, she meets her demise in a horrible
way, you can then do episodes where people talk of
bullying and talk of being nice to each other, it can
be her legacy, and then Ariel can go on her instrgram
account to talk about trolls while wearing a thong bikini.

3:Gloria: Well she's been living in the states for over a
decade and still cant quite get  western culture, you can kill
her off and at the same time, kill off the stereotype that immigrants
have a low IQ.

4:Luke.  Luke was a nice wee kid, in some cases, nice wee
kids, grow into nice wee teenagers, Luke's didnt, he grew
into someone that doesnt seem to respect woman a lot,
so maybe teach those creepy men a lesson and kill him off.

But if they ever kill off Phil or Cam, the writers should
never write again.  I would never forgive television if
that happens.

So roll on season 10!

Garth's Album Announcement November 2018. Garth's Tour Announcement May 2019.

It  appears Garth will announce the release
date of Triple Live and the Live anthology
in the month of their release, November 2018.

Garth's next tour will be without Trisha, and that
is now expected to be summer of 2019, the tour
is also expected, once again, just to be USA/Canada
with no dates outside North America planned.

That makes 1994, Garth's only WORLD tour.  With
Ireland in 1997, and Brazil in 1998/2015 being one
off events.

The announcement date  of the tour, will probably be around May
2019.

So that takes care of all the big announcements, it
took a while, but we finally got there, going to be
strange doing no posts about up coming announcements.

To wrap up here's what to expect from Garth Brooks
in the coming years.

October 20th  2018:  One off concert at ND Stadium.

November 2018: The Release of the Live Anthology.

November 2018: Triple Live to be released.

May 2019: An announcement of a Stadium tour
of the USA/Canada,  one off shows, around half
a dozen maybe?

July/August  2019:  The Stadium tour.

November 2019:  New Studio  Album.

2020 and Beyond:  Maybe smaller venues,
Honky Tonks. A return to Ireland and elsewhere
outside the USA, maybe an outside chance. But
very small chance other than Ireland.

Virtually no chance of hooking up with another
digital platform, he seems to be happy with
Amazon.

Of course with Garth, all the above could be
subject to change, you never know.

Time will tell.

September 13th or October 20th for Garth's Tour Announcement

Garth Brook's Studio G will be on Thursday
13th, instead of the usual Monday.  The day after
tickets to his concert at the University of Notre
Dame will go on sale.

Garth was expected to make a major tour
announcement on the day of the concert.

It would appear though, that the day of the
Notre Dame concert will solely focus on
that concert.

So that really leaves September 13th for
his tour announcement, a couple of months
ago Garth said they would have a special
Studio G in September, so this 13th must
be it.

It would make no sense to move Studio
G to a Thursday, just for a normal,  Ask
Garth segements and tidbits about what
is coming.

So what will the upcoming tour announcement
be???

Rumors are that he will be playing the Iconic
College stadiums, that have never held a
concert before, like Notre Dame.

Fingers are also crossed in 2019, he will leave
the USA and do his first world tour since 1994.

That would be an amazing surprise for his
overseas fans that have waited and waited
and waited for such a announcement.

Then with Garth, it may be something way
out of left field.

With anticipation  we wait for September 13th,
fingers are crossed.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks Triple Live Fan Mix Album Review

 10/10

The most authentic Live album in History.

Garth Brooks has scored a grand slam  with this
one.

Even if you just listen to it normally without
adjusting your speakers or headphones to either
make Garth or the crowd louder, this Live
album will go down as one of the greats.

His Voice, the band, the crowd, the emotion, Triple
Live has such a LIVE feel to it, close your eyes and
you will be back there at  one of his concerts.

Sometimes Live albums come across as too muffled,
or too over produced, and it loses what the artist is
like in concert.

With Triple Live, Garth Brooks has not only set the
bar for a live album, but has game changed the Live
Album industry.

This free fan mixed offered by Ticketmaster for a short
time, is a gift from  Garth Brooks  to say thanks for
his record breaking tour,  Triple Live will come out
in the fall with more songs.

This live version has 26 songs, the highlight for me
being,  his version of George Strait's The Fireman
and a mind blowing version of Ashley McBride's,
girl going nowhere.

The crowd is loud on all his classics, what comes through
for me though is the fun that Garth and his band was having
and the enjoyment of the crowd, it really picks up on the
emotion of a Garth Brooks concert.

That is why I call it game changing.

Come the fall, I will be buying the retail version and
downloading the digital version.

Right now, Im about to listen to it all over again.

Well done Garth Brooks!

FREE DOWNLOAD TODAY OF GARTH'S TRIPLE LIVE

GARTH'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

Today there will be a free download  version
of Triple Live via  ticketmaster.

It says you have to select USA/Canada and then
a zip code.

So if your outside those countries, just select USA/Canada
and a zip code.

It works fine!!!!

A free new Live album from Garth Brooks.

His announcement lived up to the expectations!!!!

Two songs in and have to say Triple Live is better
than Double live, the crowd on this thing is amazing.

Well done Garth Brooks!!!!!!

Tomorrow's the Day of Garth's Announcements

Finally, it's been like nearly two years of hinting
and delaying, of suggestions,  of interviews of
big things to come.

The waiting is over.

In less than 24 hours we will know.

My next post will be about the announcements.

Its been a long winding journey to get to this
point, lots of frustation, but finally all will
be revealed.

Xmas comes early.

One day left to Garth's big announcementSSSSS.

August 27th The Long Wait is Nearly Over

The long wait is nearly over, just a week to go, and
after all the speculation, all the hype all the false
alarms, all will be revealed.

I actually kinda feel sad, I've been blogging about the
announcement thing with what seems like over  a year,
from the first time Garth said, "Something is coming"
I waited in anticipation like a child watching a thunderstorm.

The time is nearly here. We will finally know.

August 27th will kick off, with the way it should, as Garth
and President Carter will talk of Habitat  for Humanity and
show the world the good that it's done.

Then it's off to Notre Dame as we will hear not only the
date of the concert, but the competent of the concert, will
it be televised and by who?, will the rumors be correct and
will it be streamed live in  HD VR?

And more importantly what is the concert the start of??

A College tour? Followed by a world tour??? What will the
overseas dates be?

That information will probably be given out on Studio G after
the Notre Dame press conference.

Then there's the information about  Triple Live and the Live
Anthology, the free preview that will be given out to people
who are watching it live, the password expected only to last
for the live portion of Studio G.

Garth Brooks has so much to announce over the   two Press
Conferences and Studio G, his fans are waiting for what's going
to happen over the next year or two.

We have heard the interviews over the past 18 months, hinting
at this, now the time has come, Xmas is on August 27th.

Again, I kinda feel sad, but in a good way.

Its the end of a era, but the beginning of a new one.

This time next week, the future of Garth Brooks will be
known.

One week and all will be revealed.

Let the countdown begin.

Garth Brooks Interview from New Zealand in 1994.

Billionaire Boys Club failed because of Ansel Elgort

It flopped at the boxoffice because...

It stars, one of the most unlikable, narcissistic, smug, self righteous,
up themselves, obnoxious, untalented pieces of shit, poster child of
white privileged, poster child for every pretty boy that has ever lived,
unworthy, put together by Hollywood, rubbish actor that has ever
lived, I of course am talking about the guy from Baby Driver.

It also starts that that predator Kevin Spacey.

Hollywood may try and blame Kevin Spacey for the fact that
it only made $126 dollars and only 13 people saw the actual
movie, but that's a cop out,  it was Ansel Elgort fault why
the movie failed.

He is the ultimate pretty boy, and no I have nothing against
good looking actors, but there is a difference between
a good looking actor and a pretty boy, and that difference
is , talent and charisma.

Ansel Elgort has none.  But Hollywood is banking all Ansel
has to do is smiling sweetly, say a cool one liner, and it will
be box office gold,  people may of been fooled by Baby Driver,
but Billionaire Boys Club showed the world, that perhaps just
perhaps you need something else, beside a face that is a cross
between Harry Styles and Justin Bieber.

Still much easy to blame that Perv, Kevin Spacey, huh Hollywood.

Here's hoping that with the wealth of great young, good actors,
Hollywood doesn't go  with the undeserving Ansel Elgort,  an
actor who may think he's on the level of a  DeNiro, but in
reality is on the same level as Andy Kindler.

Time will tell.

August 20th Garth Brooks to make an Announcement on Studio G

Studio G is back on  August 20th and we get an
announcement!

Will it be about Notre Dame or a wider tour?

Will it be about the Live Anthology?

The Live Album?

The Studio Album?

The Diamond Series?

A World Tour, which will be his first since 1994.

The email you can sign up for to be the first to get
his offers?

The Hinted about concert in VR?

The tour of small Honky Tonks?

The college stadium  tour?

The federal government approval thing?

A lot of things have been talked about during the
past, well two years nearly, finally it seems it's
all coming together.

Hopefully his fans patience will be rewarded.

Time will tell.

Has Garth Brooks the Courage To Do A Real Live Anthology

Garth Brooks has a lot going on.  A Live album
and a studio album, a appearance at the Grand Old
Orpy, a concert at Notre Dame stadium, are all
suppose to be coming up in the next few months.

His Live Anthology is the thing that may end up
defining his legacy, it all depends if Garth has the
balls and integrity  to show respect to what an
Anthology should be.

An Anthology just can't be like a greatest hits,
or a box set, or a collection, he's done plenty of
those in the past, it has to be a complete unaltered
history of his career, he doesn't get a second chance
to do his own Anthology of his early days of touring.

The Live Anthology due for release in the next few
months, will be based on  Garth's first two tours,
1991/1992 and 1993/94, 1994 being the only world
tour Garth Brooks has ever done.

Garth has two options,  he can produce a Faux Live
Anthology which may just contain, what the 1998 Entertainer
Box set had, and that is a DVD of his four big TV specials
This is Garth Brooks, This is Garth Brooks 2, Ireland and
Back and Garth Live from Central Park, with just a fancy
booklet talking about those shows.

Or he can produce a Live Anthology that contains countless
hours upon hours of never released concert footage from
concerts from Germany, Norway, Spain, Scotland, New
Zealand and Australia,  they were all filmed, he can release
footage from concerts in Phoenix, Seattle, Boston, from
his early days where he was such a wild man on stage and
nothing was out of bounds.

The Dream Chasers, and Crazy Duck Productions, the
people he hired to film his early days must have a mountain
of archival footage that Garth owns the rights to, that
will fit in perfectly with an Live Anthology.

Because that is what a Live Anthology should be,
the raw footage, the footage that  shows that time
period in the early 90's where the fans were just
as crazy as he was, that time in music history
where  no matter what genre  you loved, it was
Garth that you most wanted to see.

I know the footage exists and Garth has the rights
to it, I only hope that he has enough courage to
include it in the  Live Anthology and  it
just doesn't end up being rehashed TV specials.

Garth gets one chance to do a Live Anthology of
his early days, one chance to show the world
what he was like as a performer then, one chance
to show the world, footage that they have never
seen before.

Will he take that chance?

Time will tell.

Should Garth Bring Back The Crazy?

I have seen Garth  three times in concert. 1994 in New Zealand
1996 in Phoenix and 2010 at the Wynn.

Thanks to social media I was able to see various clips
from the 2014/2017 USA/Canada tour.  I know
artists mature as they get older, their show changes,
but you know, I do kinda miss the crazy.

Even his 1996/1998 USA/Canada/Ireland tour
when he was young, was a tad less crazy than
his 1993/1994 World tour, dont get me wrong
the house keeping clips blow my mind, and
he is still the best entertainer out there.

But I do miss the crazy, I miss the rope
swinging, ladder climbing, the water tossing, the sprinting
from one side of the stage to the other, high
fiving people, getting pulled into the crowd,
the foot stomping, finger pointing, arm waving,
thrasing head from side to side, all which made
him the artist people wanted to see the most
from any genre.

Lets face it, mid 50's isn't old, it's not like he's
in his late 60's, early 70's. I know he self mocks
about his fitness, but Garth should still be able to
do some of the crazy that he used to do in the
early 90's.

I guess it was the rawness of it all, the spontaneous
element of it all, where you didn't know what this
wild man would do on stage next.

If he came to New Zealand again, I would love
every second of it, it will be the highlight of the
decade for me, I guess I just miss the crazy side
of Garth.

Taranaki Mountain Airs Versus Supercity Rangers Allegations.

First off, let me state, I'm just a basketball
fan, I have no connection to any NBL team,
player or coach.

I'm originally from Canterbury and now living
in Nelson, so of course I support the Giants and
the Rams.

I have a niece who was a member of the 2016
Junior Tall Ferns who plays in NCAA D1.

That's my  sole connection to anyone invovled
in Basketball New Zealand.

IMHO the allegations of match fixing  between
Taranaki and the Rangers are not cemented in reality.

For the following reasons, players on a Jeff
Green coached team would die for him on court,
the passion and pride he has shown for every team
he has coached is beyond belief.  If he had any sense
that a player was trying to match fix, he would be the
first to report it.

Trent Adam's team has had a hard season thru injuries,
he's coaching the last game of the season, the game is
virtually over, but the other team calls a timeout, then
hits a last second three, to win by double digits, well
Trent of course is going to be frustrated.

To call this match fixing though  is beyond belief.  First you're
trying to fix a match by winning by a lot of points?????

Secondly if you're trying to do this and achieve this goal,
I would say the players involved wouldn't jump up and down
and celebrate, they would be more laid back.

It's more believable that the players were celebrating
their departing team mate going out on a high.

Having followed this league since 1983, I'm shaking
my head at these allegations. I'm pretty sure there is
nothing sinister.

New Zealand doesn't really have a huge Basketball media,
Mike Lacey is by far the best Blogger/writer and fairest
writer of them all,  he has not reported on these allegations.

The NZHoops  writers, have thru their twitter account and
NZ Herald pieces.

I'm not saying this because they haven't replied to any of
my tweets the past couple of years, and they do  some great
reports on Basketball in New Zealand,  but they sometimes
come across as being very insular towards certain players
and coaches in their reporting.  A couple of other tweeters
connected to them also seem to be of the same mindset.

Anyway I digress, just let me say these allegations will
be proven false, and hopefully the New Zealand Basketball
community will get back together and start reporting on
everything else that  is going on in New Zealand Basketball.

Oh and if you want to follow a great Basketball blog and
Twitter  account follow  Mike Lacey the writer of the
Lacey Lowdown.

Garth Brooks Announcement Expected Tomorrow

After what must be a year of hinting, Garth
Brooks should finally be able to reveal at
least partly what he has been talking about
since the end of 2016.

Yes it's announcement time,  on Studio G
tomorrow, we should finally have it, some
information about what Garth's big plan
has been.

Its connected to his upcoming tour,  and his
upcoming, Live and Studio album but there
is also expected to be another side to this
thing.

Garth's fans have been so patient, they have
waited and waited expecting the announcement
to be made thru various dates during the past 12
months, but now the time has come.

Who knows what it will be???

Time will tell.

Do A Spin Off With Joe

The parents of Child Actor,  Jeremy
Maguire who plays Joe on Modern
Family, runs his social media account.

As the tenth and final season of Modern
Family is due to hit screens in two months,
they recently did a post on Twitter and
Instagram with the hashtag....

#doaspinoffwithjoe

Now the post was tongue in check,  I'm
also guessing it was done to test the social
media waters.

This will be a terrible idea for a show, because
of one main reason,  the finale season of
Modern family would concentrate on keeping
this child actor in the spotlight,  thus taking
away story lines from the core original cast.

They deserve better, and the long term fans of the show
deserve better.

Disney  has given this kid, a contract, so it's also in
their best interest that he has a lot of screen time during
the final season, they need to keep him in the public eye.

This will be so unfair to the viewer.  When you have a child
actor, so young, in a comedy, the story lines become more
Disney like, and G rated.

As a viewer virtually from day one,  I find it quite insulting
that Modern family for the last two season's sole purpose
seems to be  Disney/ABC thinking ahead for the next  five years,
with who they can promote on the public, and who better than
a cute kid.

This is nothing against Jeremy, but a spin off show, means
season ten of Modern Family  must as well be renamed
"The Joe Pritchett Show"  and the humor might as well
be Jeremy  speaking baby talk into the camera.

I will give Season Ten, two episodes, but if it goes
the way I think it will, then I'm done with it.

He's hoping the writers will show respect to the cast
and the viewers and won't read memos from the
corporate offices of Disney.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks To Make Special Announcement Tomorrow

Garth Brooks is set to make a special Announcement
from a special location tomorrow.

He is celebrating  two years of Studio G thru facebook
live.

I'm guessing the location will be Facebook headquarters,
not sure what the announcement will be.

Studio G will be on earlier than usual,  4pm est/  8am
New Zealand time.

Where it will be and what it will be?????

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks Aiming for 200 Million RIAA Numbers

He's currently at 148 Million.

In the next 12  months we will have...

A Live Album.
A Studio Album.
The Live Anthology
The Diamond Series Boxset.

That should be enough to put him over the top,
by April  2019, which will be the thirty annivesary
of his debut album.

I wonder if he will make an announcement for it?

Time will tell.

Travel Advice For Garth Brooks

I was just thinking back to a clip I saw of
Garth Brooks, not sure if it was Studio G or not,
but it was from a couple of weeks ago I think.

In the clip he mentioned places he hasn't played before,
that he would like too, Moscow and Paris.

In Previous statements he has mentioned he would love to play,
Tokyo and Beijing.

Even going back to his Wynn Show in 2010, he also mentioned
he would love to return to Australia, in a AOL show in
2016 he said he would love to return to New Zealand.

Since about 2010 he has mentioned returning to Scotland and Spain
and Norway, even after the Ireland debacle he has mention in various interviews all
these places he would love to play.

So he does seem to have a desire to play countries
around the world, some he wants to return to, some
he wants to visit for the first time, his problem seems to be....

How to Freakin get there, how to organize it all, and whats
involve with traveling overseas, when he can go, he seems
to have no idea whatsoever, how this works.

So here's my travel advice for Mr Garth Brooks.

There is an invention called an Airplane, that takes you to these places.

You just need a Passport, and your on your freaking way.

If you don't want to take a whole freakin stage with
you, then don't, most venues would have a stage.

There is no law saying you have to play a big Mother freakin arena
or Stadium, plenty of artists have played town halls and theaters,
its quite easy, Im sure there is a bus schedule that takes you and
your band mates to a venue.

Most these venues in these countries are in town and
indoors so you don't have to put up with a bunch of beer belly,
Brown boys watching, Brexit leaving, inbreed gimps, like those
 that live in Croke.

The rest of the good people of Ireland won't care if
you do a small concert somewhere else.

Now I know, you said the world part of the tour was
delayed, because one concert turned into five, and what
was suppose to be an 18 month tour turned into three years
(funny enough) you said the same thing about your 1996-1998 tour,
kinda thought you may of seen this coming, but anyway I digress.

Ya see, when you say, you would love to go/play these cities
around the world and then you don't, you come across like that
guy/girl at work who is always saying "I would love to go to
(Insert country name here)" But you know full well, if you bumped
into that person in 40 years time, they haven't been
  anywhere, it's just all talk

Every single artist of every single genre has managed
to get on a plane and traveled where they wanted to go,
Dixie Chicks played in a field in NewZealand, Carrie Underwood
played an arena in Europe ,Steve Earl played in a bar in Aussie,
Willie Nelson has traveled a lot and most of the time he is goofed on skunk weed.

So there is really no issue at all, why you cant do something,
you really want to do, none whatsoever.

You could get anyway you want to go in 12 hours.

So Hop on one of those new airplane thingy's.

Take Jimmy, Dave and Trisha with you, walk into a local
town hall in Russia or Croatia that may only seat
2000 people and have a blast. You will create memories for yourself.

But if you decide this is not for you, maybe just maybe
its good idea to stop saying.....

"I would love to play (insert country name) but its too difficult"

That isn't a freaking good look, since traveling
is quiet easy, not that hard.

So get ya passport, take ya hat, and start singing ya fav songs, the world is waiting,
and don't forget to announce it in time!!

More Announcements from Garth Brooks Around October?

On the last studio G, Garth Brooks said there
will be announcements on that show,  he
didn't end up announcing any,  the feed
cut off before it ended, he also said there
will be an announcement in four to five weeks
and another announcement  around October/November.

So the countdown is on again, this time with no actual
hope, as I sort of mention in my last post,  so who
knows, one day Garth might actually announce something,
time will tell.

Garth Brooks and his Announcements

Are we too critical of Garth Brooks and his
habit of making Announcements of future
Announcements?

Since he has come out fully of retirement in
2014, Garth has  a peculiar habit of making
an  Announcement, that he is going to make
an  Announcement at a later date.

When he ends up making an  Announcement
it's normally just to  Announce the date of what
the future  Announcement will be.

This has been ten fold, the past nine months,
and his fanbase has started to call him up
on it, including myself.

So are we too harsh on Mr Garth Brooks.

He has a new college stadium  tour coming
up, a live album,  a studio album and a live
anthology in the works.

But inbetween all these, he continues to
make Announcements that something
Major,  earth shattering is in the works
and he also keeps putting off  making
the actual Announcement, so fans
in the end have no idea what he is
talking about.

Are these  Announcements just about
the new album or tour and how we can
buy the album or purchase tickets?? Or
is it something else.

Today on Studio G, he actually looked
drained with it all, like he knew that he
has to make an Announcement, but
couldn't because of various factors
out of his control.

So despite me being one of his more
vocal critics of the  Announcement to
make  Announcement policy, I'm
going to cut him some slack, and will
wait patiently for the new albums, Live
and Studio, I will hope that he comes to
New Zealand, and if he ever does make
an actual Announcement, I will enjoy it
for what it is.

I just hope an  Announcement does  get made
this year, for all the work Garth has put in and
for all the fans who are have waited nearly a year,
because we deserved a great Announcement, and
fingers are crossed that Garth will deliver.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks Announcement

Hey Garth, tt seems for 18 months we have had announcements for
announcements that are going be announced in 4 or 5 weeks.
I'm guessing next week your announcement will be to say an
announcement is coming up, but at this stage you can't yet announce the
announcement of when the announcement will be.

GARTH BROOKS BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IS...

He's going to do a  concert at ND University.

Chris Goulding Needs to be Banned

Chris Goulding needs to be banned for
a long period of time, for the Flop that
started a massive Brawl in the Australian
versus  Philippines game.

Goulding has a history of flopping, but
not just in  cruical stages of games, but at
any point of a game.  It's his style of flopping
that causes games to get out of hand, you
just have to  touch Chris Goulding and he
goes down like he's been shot by a German sniper in
WW2.

He causes more fights than any other player in  the
History of Basketball, and like all gutless cowards who
flops, he can dish it out, but he cant take it.

FIBA needs to take a stand, hell the Australian NBL needs
to take a stand, and stamp out the BS that Chris Goulding does.

Australia was up by 31 points for pete sake, but he still felt the
need to go down in a Oscar winning performance, and now he
has the audacity to claim to be the victim, and the Rhode Scholars
on Twitter are now saying there was ten players on top of him
throwing punches???

Come on now.

It was a disgrace last night and there is only one player to
blame, Chris Goulding.

He needs to be banned, will he?

Time will tell.

One week till July 9th and Garth's Big Announcement

And quite possibly the biggest announcement in the
History of music.

It's certainly the biggest announcement of Garth
Brooks's career.

This is what hes has been talking about for over
a year, and he can finally tell us what it is.

In the words of Garth during the past 12 months.

Bigger than playing on the moon.

Needed Federal Government approval.

Biggest thing he has ever tried.

Game changing for the music industry.

What could it be??

Time will tell.

The New Zealand Rugby Fan and Media: Hypocritical Ugly and Outright Wrong

There has never been  in the History of sport, a
group of people who have been so Hypocritical,
thinned skinned, precious, ugly and outright
wrong.

I'm of course talking about the New Zealand
Rugby media and the New Zealand Rugby Fan.

It's been a life time for me, of verbal and sometimes
Physical abuse from Rugby fans, if you dare say anything
less than  "The All Blacks  (All Blacks is the nickname of
the New Zealand rugby team) are the greatest athlete's on
Earth, all hell breaks loose.

Started when I was six, and a teacher told us, that we could
play Soccer, Rounders or Rugby.  As we were leaving the
class room, a friend, said he was going to play  Soccer, I
told him I was going to play Rounders, a kid came from behind,
threw me to the ground and screamed "RUGBY!!!!!!"  then spat
at me.

This blog post would be a War and Peace novel if I listed all the
similar incidents thru out my life.

The mere mention that you like another sport other than Rugby
has the expletives from  Rugby fans flying,  the look of disgust,
the look that you have been brainwashed by other sporting
code if you didn't follow Rugby is beyond belief.

The media has played their part suggesting, for as long as
I can remember, that The All Blacks could play any sport
and make it at the top level, yet the top athlete's from other
codes couldn't even make it in club Rugby.

So after  nearly 50 years of hearing the Rugby Media and
public spout that BullShit, an American Journalist  said and
he was correct, that if NFL players, played Rugby, they would dominate.

The NewZealand media went nuts they lost it, he was doxxed so
New Zealand rugby fans could send him hate mail, he was laughed
at, mocked, abused, yet this is exactly  what our media and public
has always done.

You could ask any New Zealand Rugby fan and they would wrongly tell
you, that the All Blacks are the fastest and strongest and most
well known sport  people on earth.

This is of course wrong,  they couldn't get anywhere near making
the NFL, they don't have the speed of world class sprinters, their
movement skills, their vertical  leap would see them failing to make
it not only in the world's top sporting comps, but other NewZealand
sporting codes.

But I'm sure the NZ Rugby media and public would think, they
could make the Olympic 100 Meter final, beat our National soccer
team,  make it easy into, not just the Nzl Basketball league, but the
NBA, this is the mindset of the Nzl Rugby public.

Yep that is not a typo, the New Zealand Rugby fan would think
a New Zealand Rugby player could make it into the Top  Basketball
League in the World.

Which is why the reaction to  Espn's  NFL story has pissed me
off so much.

Our Rugby media has no right to be angry, they're without a doubt
the biggest Hypocrites  in terms of sporting media on Earth. It's
mindblowing for them to have this reaction, to ridicule a Journo
(Who BTW is correct)  who wrote that NFL players could make it in Rugby
is the height of Hypocrisy.

The thing is, they're wrong, so wrong,  The All Blacks are not
the greatest athlete's on earth, they're aren't even close to being
New Zealand's best athlete's.

Maybe the NewZealand Rugby Fan and Media aren't self aware, or
just don't want to face up to the truth, so they will continue to be
so so Hypocritical on a level that no other fans of a sporting code
have ever been.

They do though need to face facts...

The All Blacks are insignificant on the Global sporting scene.

And..

If the USA took Rugby as seriously as they took  Basketball, if
Europe took Rugby as seriously as they took Soccer, the  All
Blacks would be thrashed by 50 points in every match.

Garth Brooks Big Announcement Is Delayed

Till a later date.

He ended up talking about the usual album/tour stuff.

Saturday, June 2, 2018

Garth Brooks Announcement Will Be Made June 4th

Garth Brooks will make his big announcement
on June 4th  (USA Time) on  Studio G.

The long wait is over and all will be revealed.

Not long to go now.

Lets hope it's a good one.

Time will tell.

June 1st and No Announcement from Garth Brooks

In true Garth Brooks fashion,  there was no
announcement from Garth Brooks  on June 1st.

Fans now must wait  till the next Studio G, which
is schedule for June 4th.

If his recent track record stays the same, there may
not be a Studio G on June 4th.

Garth Brooks may of been a marketing Whizz in
the 90's,  but his track record since 2014 in trying
to put huge projects together and failing, would see him fired
from any middle management  job in any firm in the
USA.

From Croke Park,  To Ghost Tunes,  to a decent digital
platform, to organize the overseas portion of the world
tour,  now this, what was suppose to be the biggest thing
he has ever done, and been talked about for what seems like
years, may now not  happen.

To call it dead in the water, is unfair, we have to wait till
Monday, but if this thing doesnt happen, then Garth Brooks
seriously has to look at the people he has working for him,
he has to look at his advisors, people he trusts the most,
because they havent got the job done.

Here's hoping this is just a  minor hiccup, and come Monday
he has pulled it off, fingers and toes are crossed.

Time will tell.

Garth Brooks Biggest Ever Announcement Will Be Made June 1st

June 1st 2018.

The Final countdown is on, until Garth Brooks
makes the biggest announcement of his career.

For years now, hes been hinting at, this is the
biggest thing he's been invovled in, but he cant
say anything yet.

He's been saying so much has to come together.

Then earlier this year, he said come April, he will
announce it,  then he said, come stage coach, he will
announce it, then finally on  the Studio  G after stage
coach, he gave the announcement date.  That date is

June 1st 2018.  A Friday in the USA,  what a great way to
end the working week.

He also said he will go deeper into detail on  Studio G
on June 4th.

But Friday the announcement will come, how big is this thing?

Out of Garth's own mouth,  Playing on the Moon, wont be as
big as this.  Hes never done anything like this before.

Part of the announcement is expected to be part of some
kind of tour,  but wait there's more!!!   This wont be
just a usual  Arena tour, and there is far far more to the
announcement than a tour, and its going to be, as Garth
said  "Game Changing" for the music  industry.

It's a huge year for Garth, he has a new studio album
coming,  a live album taken from his 2014-2017 North
American Tour, a Live Anthology taken from his early
days of touring and possibly a DVD  companion from
his first Anthology released in 2017.

But it's this upcoming announcement that has captured
Garth Fans, because Garth has been talking about this
for ages and getting so pumped up without dropping hints that
may give it a way.  Overseas fans are getting excited also,
just incase we are part of it.

But this thing will be Game changing and the biggest thing
Garth has ever done and this is from a man who played to
a million people in Central Park.

Only a few days to go now.

My brain is working overtime, wondering what it is.

June 1st 2018 will possibly be the biggest day of Garth
Brooks's career, what will it be???

Time will tell.

Mike Hosking is Satan

Mike Hosking is Satan.

That has to be it.

He is the worst person on earth.

He dare to suggest that Pre School teachers
shouldn't be on the same pay rate as High School
teachers.

All Hell broke lose, the abuse he took on twitter
and other forms of social media was so rabid, the
name calling, the hate, the usual comments directed
at  his car, his house, how much money he is reported
to have, the cheering each other on as post after post,
told us what a vile little man he is, he must have
short guy syndrome, he's worst than Napoleon.

His original video he did, is now being trolled big time,
thanks to a blogger at the spin off, the same blogger
who thru the years has signed petition after petition
to get him fired.

The irony of it is, this blogger has a mantra of being
against  unsolicited comments, they also have a habit of
trying to pick a fight with those in the public eye, hoping
their supporters will go to the social media site of their
victim, to get a reaction from a  known person to further
up their profile.

But back to Satan, I mean Mike Hosking.  He didn't say,
"Pre school teacher should be made to work 16 hours a day"
He didn't say, "They should read John Key's  Autobiography
to their three to four year old students.

He made a clear point of view, that the jobs are completely different.

I agree,  you wouldn't  pay a High school teacher, the same as  a Uni
professor, they may work just as hard, but it would be darn right
stupid to do so.

But hey, dear old Mike Hosking, who apparently doesn't live in the
real world, he spends his time, jumping into his pool of gold coins
while eating steak and Lobster for breakfast.

In reality though he is a man with kids, going thru the same parenting
issue as parenting bloggers.

Too bad the parenting Bloggers,  seem to have no problem with
ripping into other parents, (while criticizing this very action) that
don't share their world view.

Whats next??

Protests outside Mike's House.

Its getting that way.

Maybe bloggers, should take their own advice, about
"Unsolicited Comments"

Time will tell.
