Things You Will Never Hear

"And the Halbergs goes to the Blackcaps"

I have seen the blackcaps get beaten by more, I have
seen the blackcaps go out to worse shots, I have seen us
go out for lower scores.

Never in my life following cricket have I seen a worse
run chase, what were the players thinking??
Did it come across on TV, all the people booing
oram, he was getting it from everybody?

Whos idea was it to put woodcook ahead
of Southee and Mills?

Most appalling run chase in history.
Thankyou, Oram, Southee and Mills for ruining my
saturday night.

This game also showed there is a hell of a difference
of being a good first class cricketer in NewZealand
and  being  a international player, the sad thing is the
pakis arent that great.

Will we win the world Cup, we don't need time to tell,
I can tell you now, we wont.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was Robbed

Once again the Oscars has got it wrong.

First off they should of nominated Nolan as best
director for Inception, they shouldn't have nominated
The Kings Speech for best picture (How ordinary is
that, I mean can they get any more cliche, than voting
for a art movie set in the past about a historical figure,
movies arent suppose to be docos you have to watch
at school, they should be an escape

Then there was the fuss about The Social network, a
movie that makes the real life bad guy into someone
good and the good guy, into someone bad, someone
must have friends in Hollywood I think.

But the biggest snub has to be the brilliant Joseph Gordon
Levitt missing out on best supporting actor in Inception,
his performance is this amazing picture was beyond belief,
he at least deserve a nomination.

Here's hoping he will have a long career, whether the Oscars
give him credit or not.

Time will tell.

Wellington Phoenix Flying above the Rest

The Wellington Phoenix had a crucial 4-0 win against
Perth in the weekend, and are now in seventh place
fighting their butts off for a playoff spot.

This was a must win game, for the Phoenix who have
had a mix season so far, but with a valuable three points
they might just sneak into the playoffs which start in a few
weeks time.

Lets hope the crowds start coming back for the last few games
5000 people just anit enough.

This week they play the league leaders Brisbane, a win would
really see them on their way and will once again boost Football
in New Zealand.

Fingers are crossed, and time will tell.

Sacha Baron Cohen to Play Saddam Hussein

Sacha Baron Cohen will play Saddam Hussein in a comedy
which is a spoof on the Late Saddam's own book when he protyaed
himself as a genius and a great leader.

This has the makings of his best work yet, this has the making of
something special, Borat and Bruno were works of art that played
on people prejudices, and Sacha is smart enough to read the actual
book, which he would do with Saddam's own words is anybody guess,
but one thing is for certain, it's going to be funny.

Time will tell.

Christchurch Aftershocks 2011

I hate Aftershocks more than I hate earthquakes.

My work  rattled and rolled and good people were
very upset indeed. My stomach can't take much more of

(The above photo was taken from September 2010 and the original
earthquake, I dont know who took the photo.)

Chris Colfer Wins the Golden Globe

His Speech says it all, what an amazing young man, if anyone
has been bullied you need to watch this.

or at least read it.

Most importantly, to all the amazing kids that watch our show and the kids that our show celebrates, who are constantly told 'no' by the people in their environments, by bullies at school that they can't be who they are or have what they want because of who they are. Well, screw that, kids," Colfer said.

Well Done Chris you are inspiration for anyone who is different.

Steve Carell Quits the Office before the season ends

Steve Carell will leave the Office before the last episode of the
current season.

The last few episodes according to the Huffington Post will
centre on who will over take his job as office manager of the
Dunder Mifflin paper company.

While the English version of the office couldn't survive with out
David Brent, the American Office can thanks to a very strong
supporting cast.

I think this is a bold move by the writers, Carell was always going
to leave after this seventh season and I guess most people were
expecting it would of been in the last scene, but no Michael Scott
will be packing his bags slightly earlier, we can only hope it will be
in the arms of Holly.

So where to now for The Office? I hope they don't bring in a new
replacement for Michael and the top job goes internal, I think Andy
Bernard or the Nard Dog gets it, having Jim or Dwight  wouldn't
work, Dwight is best as Assistant Regional Manager or I should
say, Assistant to the Regional Manager, and Jim and is
best harrasing Dwight and supporting Pam.

The Office will survive without Steve Carell's Michael
Scott, its supporting cast is just good for it not too.

So we bid a sad goodbye to Michael Scott, he was nerdy
he was geeky, but he was the boss you didnt want, but you
really did, and you really wanted him to succeed.

That's what I said.

Jared Lee Loughner to Use Inception Defense

President Obama is seen here paying his respect to the
victims of the Arizona Massacre.

It would appear that Jared Lee Loughner is using the
Inception defense. If it lawyers goes down this road it
will turn the trail into something like an episode of
Boston Legal.

To defend a man who went on a serial rampage taking
several lifes and to make light of this by using the Inception
defense is not clever thinking, its not being a great lawyer, its
a stunt to try and get his client.

People who lucid dream, know the difference between a dream
and reality, and when they do dream I'm guessing it's more about
going to a peaceful place not causing harm to others.

I'm not sure how the law works in the USA, but I hope the Judge
doesn't allow it.

Time well tell.

On a different note it was nice to See President Obama give a
wonderful speech about coming together and stopping the hate
and it was sad again to see Palin using this to repeat her mantra
that the media is against her, surly the GOP has better people
in 2012, for their sake I hope they do, and for the sake of the
victims of Jared I hope thee rumours of the Inception defense is
false, time will also tell for this.

Daniel Vettori catches Fleming Disease

Unlike the Blackcaps who can't catch anything, Daniel
Vettori has caught Fleming Disease. This horrific condition
causes once great men to talk BS in interviews, make excuses
and generally perform below yours or anyones standards.

The disease is named after former New Zealand cricket captain,
Stephen Fleming who talked BS made excuses and played
below what he could of done.

Doctors were unsure if Daniel Vettori had this disease until he
uttered those fatal words, "We have to be more consistent"
This is the catchphrase of any one with Fleming Disease, Stephen
once said it over 20 times in one series which was lost 2-0.

Now it would seem the once great, Daniel Vettori has it, fingers
are crossed that a cure can be found, but I'm afraid it might be
too late and we will hear those fatal words once again, that we
havent heard for a while and New Zealand cricket will be
worse off for it.

The only thing consistent about our cricket team is we now
have had two captains who utter this useless phrase and
that we consistently lose.

Who will be next to ctach Fleming Disease??

Time will tell.

The Halbergs Awards

The Halberg awards got it mostly right with their
Nominations. The All Whites (New Zealand Football Team)
The Kiwis (NewZealand's Rugby League team) and our
Rowers had to be Nominated, they were far above any
other New Zealand Team in 2010.

Where they got it wrong was The Tall Blacks (New Zealand's
Basketball Team) missing out, making the playoffs at the world
champs and beating Russia and France along the way was
freakin brilliant.

Nominating The Silver Ferns and the All Blacks was just plain stupid
and was a suck up to those sports and their supporters. Also how
does Gordon Tietjens always get a Nod???

Coach of the year has to be Ricki Herbert, sportsperson has to
be Ryan Nelsen.

The moment of the year is voted by the fans, this
is  where Chief Judge Brendan Telfer has been manipulative
in trying to get the public to vote for his precious
Silver Ferns over the more deserving All Whites.

This is such an important Halbergs, the judges have
to prove they have some decency and honesty, and
more importantly the public has to prove to the judges
that they don't buy their BS anymore.

Believe me, the History of New Zealand sport is at
sake. Which way will we go?

Time will tell.
