Bye Bye to Blogging For Good

Bye Bye for Good.

My last blog post, its been fun.

There is not much point in blogging about politics,
both sides just lie. There is no point blogging
about the New Zealand sport media, how can you compete
with generation of generation of people who lie and
commit journalistic crimes, this past week was it for me,
I'm done, I have had enough.

Good luck to all and...

Shhhh Dont Mention the B word

Why is it so hard for the New Zealand Sporting Media to tell
the truth.

There is big debate in this part of the world, about how we
can take our national sport of Rugby Union to Asia.

This debate started when a rugby match between New Zealand and
Australia, sold less than 10 thousand tickets in Hong Kong, a
nation fill of expat Kiwis and Aussies.

Well the debate turned into how can Rugby Grow in Asia and
especially Japan.

Brendan Telfer and his fellow NZ journalists went on
to say, how can Rugby compete with Soccer in Japan,
can Rugby overtake soccer, what do we have to do to
get Rugby in a Soccer and sumo mad nation.

What our Journos failed to do, was to explain to
the New Zealand public that Japan is baseball mad
that its the most popular team sport in japan and
its unofficially their National pastime.

Journos with 20 to 30 years experience of covering
sport must know this, but once again, they don't want
to create a impression in the minds of Kiwis that
Rugby ain't the second most popular team sport in
the world and in fact its far behind the likes of
Baseball, Volleyball, basketball, Ice hockey, Handball,
etc etc etc.

Telling the truth will be too hard, telling the
public what they want to hear is easy.

Will they ever change?

I ain't holding my breath.

Russia Beats New Zealand

New Zealand has been knocked out the Basketball World
Champs by the Russians.

Positives for New Zealand were the performance of Kirk
Penny and Craig Bradshaw and of course making the sweet 16.

Now its the commonwealth games to look award, hopefully we
can improve on our silver medal.

Time will tell.

Do'h I'm Unemployed

It seems Matt Leinhart, didn't have a lion heart.

Excuse the bad pun, but we have had an earthquake.

Not only was Matt Pretty Boy Leinhart, cut by the cards,
but when the cards tried to trade him, no one wanted him.

He is now unemployed, and its all his own fault, for
having a pretty boy attitude, and not knowing just
because you were big man on campus, doesn't make you
big man in the world of professional sport.

He has several options now, the first one is too
grow up, he has to do this.

The second try his hand at Arena football or the CFL
or maybe the world league in Europe (is that still going?)

If he doesn't want to do that, there is always some Z grade
reality TV show, which I'm guessing is right up his alley
(that's what she said)

Anyway lets this be a big lesson for current college
sports stars, you need to show people respect and
treat them right, because what goes around comes

Bye Bye Leinhart and good luck to the cards.

7.1 Earthquake

Hats off to the Local Authorites of CHCH,
freaking amazing, it seems they had people
on every street that was affected, I cannot
believe how fast they dealt with this, and
how proffesional they were, to basically have
everything back on, power/ water and the freakin
internet just blows my mind.

I dont know who trains these guys or what methods they use,
but ten out of ten!!!!!!!!!

The earthquake was the scary freakin thing I have
ever experience in my life, I wouldn't wish that
on my worst enemy, it anit much fun, lets hope the
aftershocks will soon stop.

Everything is getting back to normal now, lets
hope it stays that way.

Time will tell.

Bring on the Russians

Just a little motivation for the
New Zealand basketball team.

In one of great sporting victories
New Zealand has beaten France at the
world Basketball Champs, we have made the sweet
16 and will play Russia to try and make the quaterfinals.

This NewZealand Basketball team is one
of our great sports teams, and hopefully
the country will celebrate their success.

Can we beat Russia the powerhouse of
European Basketball??

Time will tell.
